Young: Stands for living in the present as a youth, not growing up fast, having fun, and being unapologetically ourselves.
Wise: Stands for the process of growth, overcoming our circumstances and obstacles, and having a positive outlook.
Christ: Stands for our love for Christ, Christ being #1 in everything we do, and highlighting that Christ isn’t just a boring religious figure.
About the Yaw
We call ourselves the Young and the Wild in Christ (or the YAW). We are a family that comes together to have fun, have honest conversations, and be unapologetically ourselves.
As the YAW, we seek to encourage youth to live in integrity by being transparent about their struggles, mistakes, and feelings. We do this through sharing our own experiences and daily lives as examples to relate to youth who deal or have dealt with the same things.
We come together to create content to highlight ways to overcome obstacles with the intent to inspire youth to chase better versions of themselves.
The YAW’s content is something that all youth can relate to, but has the flare of Christ included that underlines how Christ is formed and guides us in our daily lives; this being revealed naturally through us being ourselves.
We as the YAW as well seek to erase misinterpreted ideas that people have about Christianity. The YAW family is not perfect; therefore, we choose to keep it real in order to guide one another, relate, and share our love

We want to give inspiration to youth, show them that they are better than what they think and have what it takes to influence and impact the world. We want them to achieve and express their full potential by chasing a better version of themselves. We do that by building a positive platform to inspire youth to keep it real and chase a better version of themselves and by introducing common grounds were we gather, find each other’s weaknesses and strengths and build each other up off of that. None of us are the same, we are all unique but when we come together we have real, honest and transparent talks.
Our Story
The Young and the Wise in Christ is in connection with Great Light Healing Community Services Society (GLHCSS) which is rooted in Great Light Healing Ministries Int’l (GLHM). The root of the YAW has come from various meetings with the youth of GLHM who would come together as a family in Christ to share their struggles and mistakes openly in the hopes of helping one another to get through our mistakes and overcome our struggles. The youth enjoyed these meetings and felt that they were beneficial in many ways such as causing growth as a family and feeling less stressed about their struggles as youths. Eventually, as time went on, a few of the GLHM youth wanted to better promote Christ but wanted to do it outside of GLHM platforms. And just like that, the YAW has formed. With the inclusion of other youth in GLHM who were supportive and ready to put in the effort, the Young and the Wilse in Christ has become what it is today.
